Unfortunately not all summer camps are created equal. So what's so special about being a Snowy Owl camper or staff member?

Everyone talks about the friendships made at camp, relationships that bring joy and support throughout life. Imagine, in a small summer camp like ours how easily these friendships can start and be nurtured. 

Some start with the big sister/little sister program that is so much a part of camp: older girls looking out for the younger, taking them to activities, planning special events together in the theater, at the waterfront or just the fun of younger girls having a sleep over in their big sister's cabin.

Fostering Summer Camp Friendships

As our water skiing classes are not grouped by age, girls of all ages are doing all camp activities together.  This creates an atmosphere of friendship where no one is left out. Still, age specific friendships also develop within each cabin

Our campers learn sportsmanship in interesting ways. When a camper skilled in a certain activity helps someone who is just learning, then everyone learns that we don't have to compete to succeed. Even our campers who go to water ski tournaments are going for the fun and enjoyment of it all. We tell them, just do here what you have been doing in practice: your only real competition is against yourself.

Everything we do at Snowy Owl camp will be team oriented...and the teams can change each week.  Have fun, learn...that's the key.
