	Our Water Skiing Camp Management Burt Jordan has been involved in water skiing for many years. In fact, he ran the water ski program for girls camps in NH for over 20 years. His wife Risa joins him in their water adventures every summer. Snowy Owl is pleased to offer great discounts for our military's kids!

Who We Are and How We Teach Water Skiing

Water skiing at Snowy Owl is taught by Burt and Risa Jordan. Burt has been a professional water skier, coach, and competitor since 18. He has competed in trick, slalom, and water ski jump events, but he feels his strength is in taking campers from beginner to even expert levels.

A Little About Us

Dr. Burt and Risa Jordan do pediatric dental surgery, by referral, at several hospitals. They take the entire summer off to run Snowy Owl, and they teach the waterskiing.

Risa has a BS in Business and went to law school, Burt has a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. (English Literature), a D.D.S. and Pedo Residency (Johns Hopkins), and a J.D. (Member of Mass Bar).

Our Teaching Method

Birt skis alongside a new skier, steadying her as she masters getting up out of the water and onto the water surface. When she is confident in getting up, Burt continues to ski alongside but he is only there if the camper feels unsteady.

From this point on, the basics of riding two skis, crossing the wakes, and preparing for one ski are taught. Most girls progress from beginner to one ski in just over a week.
