3) What is the weather like?

We never really know! Actually, it is New England, and can vary widely and quickly. There are hot, summer days and nights. There can be very cool nights, and windy days. Or there can be those just right, picture perfect days and nights. We are prepared for anything. Ski instruction will continue rain or shine.

4) What is your tipping policy?

Tipping is neither expected, nor accepted. If you feel that the staff has exceed your expectations, and really desire to reward someone, we ask that you speak to us privately and we will include the amount in the staff box to help pay for the end of season party or trip.

5) What is your payment policy?

As of now, we accept personal checks and money orders. A deposit of $500 is required for registration. This is a non refundable deposit.   For basic camp the deposit is refundable up to 21 days before your scheduled arrival. Please note that due to our small size, reservations are first come first serve.

6) Do you accept pets?

We love animals, and occasionally we will accept a dog. If you are interested in bringing your dog, please make a personal request, and have all information regarding your dog available. We reserve the right to refuse a dog based on temperament, etc., for the safety of other guests.

7) What is the atmosphere at camp? What should I bring? Is it fancy or are we "roughing it"?

Although we are far from sleeping out on the ground at night, we are not the Ritz. We are a summer camp - relaxed, and very casual. We are "out in the wilderness", as some call it. So, just grab your suit, and don't forget your toothbrush!

It is important to remember that you are in the North woods of Maine.  If you are not an outdoor person, and do not like wildlife, or being miles from anywhere, or are uncomfortable with nature (which includes mosquitoes), you may want to re-consider your vacation spot.

8) Can I bring my phone?

We hope you will take the time to relax while visiting, but if you must work or have contact with the outside world, we suggest you bring a laptop and a portable wireless connection device, such as a mifi.   We have very limited tech services, and cell phone service is spotty at best, although we have had guests who have been able to use their cell.
