Windsurfing for Better Balance on Water Skiis |
Have you ever wanted to learn windsurfing? This is the place to do it. We have equipment for all levels. If you don't want to heft up the sail, then we can tow you behind a boat and you will be amazed at the fun riding a surfboard and then venturing out and crossing the wake.
There are so many possibilities, and even if you think that all you're doing is riding around on the surfboard, you are actually developing your balance and coordination. |
Sailing and Kayaking |
| We have a fleet of Sun Fish sailboats at Snowy Owl that are perfect for girls learning how to sail. They are also great for girls who like to race, either solo or in pairs.
Experienced instructors show campers the basics of rigging and sailing, and novice sailors go out with experienced sailors. Girls can progress from basic to novice to mate and then skipper ranks.
When we have a sailing regatta, there are events for all level sailors.
Sometimes, it feels like just a little bit of heaven to be out in a sailboat with one or two close camp friends.
We also have a fleet of eight Heritage Feather Lite kayaks, in assorted colors, at camp this summer. The kayakers launch from their own sandy beach, and often their first stop is our nearby four acre island. Anyone with good swimming skills can master the fundamentals of kayaking with our instructor's help. |
